Our Story
In the Fall of 2018, Dr. Farrow created and inaugurated Circle of SacredFire⭕️, a preaching intensive designed to prepare women of color in ministry in black preaching, womanism, and leadership development. The “Alpha Circle” gathered a diverse population of 20 women to focus on #theCircle⭕️’s three fundamental principles: Preaching through the Black Church Context, Preaching with a Womanist Ethic, and Preacher as Person leadership development. Circle of SacredFire⭕️ is the first of many educational programs Dr. Farrow has created under her non-profit, The Kelly U. Farrow Institute for Black Preaching and Education.
In 2021, Circle Nation expanded and inaugurated two NEW circles⭕️. PhoeniX⭕️ which gathered women and men to re-imagine their preaching, ministry, and leadership gifts so they could ready themselves to soar to the next level. In the Fall of 2021, we welcomed the #Brotherhood into our #community, with the Just for The Men⭕️ and our beloved undergrads in the AOPMorehouse⭕️.
In our sacred community, our visiting professors and Circle⭕️ scholars go deeper in their understanding of black preaching, interpretation, and exegesis, womanism, transformational leadership, and more!
The Kelly U. Farrow Institute for Black Preaching and Education is preparing women and men for the ministries in which God has called us. Keep watch in the coming years for the next move of God in this organization.
The best is yet to be revealed!

We Have A Winner!!
#theCircle️⭕️ Ltd:
Serves two parts of the brand. It is a shorter intensive engagement of the original 6/9 week program. This branch of #theCircle️⭕️ hosts 3-week, 2-hour intensives.
#theCircle️⭕️ Ltd., is also our partnership branch of the brand.
#theCircle️⭕️ Ltd. bridges with Colleges & Universities, and community spaces in order to curate a Circle️⭕️ with their organization. We will work with the organization to design an intensive from 1 - 3 days that allows for future scholars to engage in Black Preaching, Womanism, and Leadership Development under that university's banner. The partnership Circle⭕️️ will be named after the partnering organization, and can facilitate annual opportunities for their future scholars to be trained by #theCircle️⭕️ as they come into their organization.
Are you interested in hosting a Circle⭕️?
PhoeniX️️⭕️Circle is for Men & Women who are looking to discover the “X Factor” of the gifts they possess and strengthen their preaching and leadership skills.
The life of a Phoenix, like that of a Preacher is encyclical and goes through many revisions, reimagining, and rebirthing. The story of the phoenix lets us know with each new rebirth, the next season of its life gets bigger and brighter but it does so by bursting into flames, and being reborn from its ashes! Those ashes are what we call in Circle️⭕️ Nation, your “X Factor”. Things in your life you thought were invaluable or unusable, maybe even outdated may be just what’s needed to be reimagined and take you toward your next bigger, brighter season of ministry! That’s when you know it’s time to Soar!
PhoeniX️⭕️ Circle includes 3 sessions with 3 scholars in the field of Black Preaching, Womanism, and Leadership Development. We’ll meet every other year during the summer months.
Circle⭕️ Signature Events.
